President Obama advises Anthony Weiner: "If I was in your shoes, I'd be..." "Leaving! What a good idea!"

The official television outlet of the Democrat National Committee aired an exclusive interview with the Golfer-in-Chief, who took time from his busy schedule to lay down a riff on Weinergate. Oh, and jobs.

In an exclusive interview with TODAY’s Ann Curry that will air on Tuesday’s show, President Barack Obama said that if he were Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner right now, he would resign in the wake of the scandal in which Weiner admitted to sending explicit photos of himself to women online.

“I can tell you that if it was me, I would resign,’’ Obama told Curry.

Weiner has been the talk of the nation since he was caught sending lewd photos of himself to various women on multiple social media platforms, prompting the head of the Democratic National Party to call for him to step down and House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi to demand an ethics committee investigation.

“When you get to the point where, because of various personal distractions, you can't serve as effectively as you need to, at the time when people are worrying about jobs, and their mortgages, and paying the bills — then you should probably step back,’’ Obama said... [adding] that what Weiner did was “highly inappropriate’’ and that he has “embarrassed himself” and his wife and family, but said it will ultimately come down to a decision by Weiner and his constituents as to whether he will continue in office.

While the President understands why the scandal has generated so much attention, he told Curry that it was behind joblessness, the economy and Afghanistan on his radar right now... “I am absolutely confident that we can move forward on a plan that gets our debt under control, gets our deficit under control, but also makes sure that we're making the investments in the future that are going to help us put people back to work.’’

Thanks to Mark Levin, we can easily deconstruct this psychobabble.

When Obama says the word investments, he means more spending and higher taxes. Can anyone ask the president what happened to the $6.4 trillion of new debt investments President Obama will have added to America's tab in four short years in office, an increase of 60% over the entire debt America rang up in 230-odd years?

And when says in the future, he means never. None of this central planning, authoritarian, Soviet-style, centralized suppression of the free market can work, will work, or has ever worked throughout human history.

That is why Obama must always look to the future: to paint an idyllic image for drones and sycophants who are too dimwitted to realize that the Utopia he describes is but a socialist mirage. And that is why he also never takes responsibility for his mistakes: anything that's gone wrong in the past is the fault of prior administrations, the weather, anything but Obama himself.

Truth be told, all that lies in the future under this president is misery. Of that there can be no doubt.

Sims App to offer Facebook flirting: Anthony Weiner hardest hit

Pity this virtual flirtation app didn't arrive in time to save Anthony Weiner's bony butt.

The Sims Social to offer Facebook flirting

Electronic Arts is hoping to convince folks to covet thy neighbor's wife. Or that co-worker you've always lunched with. Or your college sweetheart.

Virtually, of course.

...It's a game, like Zynga's Farmville, that encourages Facebook friends to play alongside one another. But rather than growing crops, EA seems to be encouraging friends to hook up. It's not really clear, though, because EA isn't talking much about the game, hoping teasing the game will create enough buzz.

"Lots of questions, but there's not a lot of information about the game," said Robert Lamvik, who works in the marketing department at EA. All Lamvik would offer is a canned marketing line about being excited that "the world's largest PC franchise is combining with the world's largest social network."

But a video trailer of the game hints at what's in store. It starts with Facebook messages between two women, noting that a certain guy's status has gone from "in a relationship" to "single."

"OMG!! They finally broke up!" one woman notes. And then she invites him to join her in The Sims Social. They dance, virtually. He prepares virtual tapas for her. They even watch a romantic film, holding virtual hands. "DID YOU KISS????" the woman's friend asks over Facebook.

That, and much more. The Sims Social couple moves into a bedroom to neck. Then, they strip down to their skivvies and jump in the shower together. Hearts float up from the shower and a "woohoo" can be heard, presumably from behind the shower curtain... In a press release, the company says that gamers can "engage with every aspect of their Sim's social lives from the intense emotion of a first kiss to the flawless execution of a hilarious prank." They can even "pee on a neighbor's lawn."

Another unintended benefit of the game: it will make visits to the Congressional gym a lot safer.

Weiner shrinks from view as Dems, staffers abandon ship

Now that the X-rated photo of Anthony's Weiner has hit the inter-tubes, the writing is on the Facebook wall.

Democrat leadership -- including the powerful head of the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee -- has finally had its fill of Weiner and are calling on him to resign immediately.

Furthermore, Weiner's staff (heh) has reportedly begun expedited job-hunting.

To top things off, the Congressman's wife Huma is reportedly pregnant.

And if you happen to be feeling a bit sympathetic for the Weiner's plight, don't. He was a sleazebag from the very beginning of his political career.

The conundrum is, as The Lid observes, that Anthony Weiner must go, but Bill Clinton is 'one of our greatest presidents evah'".

Opie and Anthony release Weiner's X-rated wiener photo #weinergate

It was bound to happen.

The X-rated photograph of Anthony's Weiner that Andrew Breitbart obtained from one of the esteemed Congressman's sexting partners has made its way to the Internets.

Apparently, in the process of showing various Weiner shots to news producers, radio hosts Opie and Anthony obtained a photo of Breitbart's iPhone screen.

Breitbart was unaware of this until earlier today. Anthony Cumia confirms that "Andrew Breitbart had no knowledge that this photo was being made public."

If you're feeling masochistic, the pic (little p) is over at Pat Dollard's website.

Me, I try to run a family-friendly blog here. That, and the fact that I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

Full Disclosure [TheBad]

TheBad:

In light of recent disclosures from Congressman Weiner regarding photos of his wiener, I felt compelled to also disclose my indiscretions.

I fully and freely admit that I have, in my life, taken lewd photos and videos of myself. I have sent these digital files to women. All were of consenting age, and all were consenting to receive these images. Regrettably, I sent many of these while simultaneously maintaining a monogamous marriage. I was also in my twenties and not entrusted with running the government.

Anthony Weiner is his mid-forties, recently married, is an elected government official, and acting like a dumb-ass who just turned 21 last night. My next birthday will be my 40th, and I left this sort of behavior behind more than a decade ago. I wasn’t recently married either. Back when I was behaving badly, it was because I was unhappy in my marriage, young, having no children and making more money than I needed. As such, I was free to act like an ass – especially since what I did with my life had no salient consequence for the country in general.

I don’t minimize my behavior for rationalization. Merely, I offer my testimony as a contrast to the Congressman who has chosen not to resign. He has lied to his constituents. He has lied to America. He has voluntarily chosen his own interests above those whom he has been elected to serve. I, as will most Americans, own up to my failures and accept the consequences of my actions. When it comes to progressives, two tears and 30 minutes of apologies are enough to put it all behind us with no consequence whatsoever.

Sure, I don’t intend to run for or hold public office, so my disclosure here means next to nothing. If this were to be sent to the head office of my employer, they wouldn’t care at all. That’s because my employer isn’t the American taxpayer. My on-the-job decisions are dictated by the corporation. Should I break from the corporate rules, I am subject to immediate termination. Such is the way with Congressman Weiner. This behavior is not acceptable and the pink slip better be coming.

What I find equally infuriating is the hypocrisy among the left regarding Weiner. His defense from the web to MSNBC was remarkable. Now, after he has admitted lying all the while, the usual media suspects continue to defend and espouse equivocation regarding his behavior. These same yes-people would be the very first to report and publish my indiscretions from my twenties if I ran for office, and would endlessly pontificate on my disqualification of office as such. Yet, the same indiscretions of someone already in office yield no such analysis.

Consider the outrageous hypocrisy: that Weiner can survive this and retain his office due to the partisan political duplicity of the left. When will liberal Americans wake up and realize that people who behave like this are not interested in anything other than themselves?

Can they not see that they, too, are expendable in the minds of our Democrat "ruling class"?

Weiner squeezed from all sides

Let's summarize what we know so far of the delightful exploits of Anthony Weiner (Degenocrat-NY).

He sent lewd pictures of himself to a variety of women, including college co-eds; and was in contact with high school girls as well.

When confronted with evidence of his depraved behavior, he publicly lied directly and repeatedly -- with a pathological fervor -- that he had done so

He then tried to cover up his Internet affairs -- and his lies -- by offering public relations assistance to females including a porn star with whom he'd been corresponding

He is alleged to have used government property to carry on these liaisons

Most importantly, he -- as an important member of Congress and serving on key committees -- exposed himself to blackmail and other skulduggery

But, no, Weiner: don't resign. You're just helping reinforce the reputation of the Democrat Party as not only fiscally disastrous and criminally irresponsible, but also perverted and pathological.

So, please, Weiner: stay in office. You're the new poster boy -- along with Debbie Wasserman-Schultz -- of the proud traditions of the modern Democrat Party.

The #Weinergate Caption Contest All Americans Can Support

All American Blogger is running the caption contest of the day, month and possibly year.

Here's my entry:

I'm actually swelling with pride over this.

The Daily Weiner (Degenocrat-NY) #weinergate

If you've been away much of the day and missed all of the pants-busting excitement, here's a quick recap in reverse chronological order:

• 18:30 Woman Who Corresponded With Weiner: He Said He Was Stalking Me - oh, that should help with the female vote in New York.

• 18:03 Weiner One Week Ago: "I Was the Victim of This" - not the young women, no. Weiner was the victim.

• 17:55 Nancy Pelosi calls for Anthony Weiner ethics inquiry - When you've lost Pelosi... say, don't the Republicans control the House? Where the hell is their ethics inquiry of this dirtbag-o-crat?

• 17:48 Anthony Weiner admits tweet, will not resign - of course he won't; he's a Degenocrat.

• 17:45 Should We Care About Anthony Weiner's Photo Scandal? - that's a moonbat periodical, of course. And the answer is no: Democrats operate under a different set of rules than everyone else. They're above the law - remember, their great hero, the famed 'Lion of the Senate' left a woman in his car, which happened to be underwater, for about 16 hours or so.

• 16:26 "I apologize to Andrew Breitbart" - Those thumps you heard in the distance were liberals' heads exploding all over the United States. Breitbart and Michelle Malkin are among the best investigative journalists working anywhere in 2011.

• 16:20 Rep. Anthony Weiner: 'The Picture Was of Me and I Sent It' - Oh. Wow. We would never have guessed.

• 15:30 Weiner Used Jewish Sexual Stereotype To Facebook Sexting Partner - and that should help with the Jewish female vote in New York.

• 12:40 Weinergate Grows: Another Woman Provides Sex Messages From His Account - The woman says she has 200 sexually explicit messages from Weiner's account - that hacker is a busy little guy!

Lesson learned:

Only a Degenocrat could -- remember Gerry "Dial-a-Page" Studds and Barney "I didn't know that gay prostitution ring was operating out of my condo" Frank? -- possibly get away with this sort of thing. Ethics? Family values? Shame?

No, no, and no.

For Weiner not to resign in utter ignominy reveals how little regard he has for New Yorkers and women, in particular.

Kudos to: Ace o' Spades, Robert Stacy McCain, Patterico, Gateway Pundit, Verum Serum, Ironic Surrealism, Big Government, Michelle Malkin, and many others for their relentless pursuit of this story. Hat tip: Memeorandum.

We got a bleeder! Weiner trapped by TweetCongress.org

No wonder Anthony Weiner's been so evasive about the photo of privates sent from his Twitter account. It turns out that the same application used to send Weiner's other messages that night also sent the bulging pantie shot. The Daily reports (via Weasel Zippers):

...according to data provided exclusively to The Daily from TweetCongress.org, a nonprofit website that captures each member of Congress’s Twitter feeds in real time, the shot seen round the world was transmitted using TweetDeck — a popular Adobe desktop application that links up with social networking sites. A review of Weiner’s Twitter stream from May 27, the day of the crotch pic, shows that Weiner had been posting only from TweetDeck — one of many ways to post messages to Twitter — that entire night.

Chet Wisniewski, a senior security adviser at security software company SophosLabs, said the TweetDeck stamp “does make it more plausible that it did come from him.”

...Robert Stribley, a senior information architect at Razorfish, a social media strategy agency, reasoned that if Weiner used the TweetDeck app, “it would probably make it less likely his account was hacked.”

...Matthew Green, chief technology officer at Independent Security Evaluators, said that if the offensive tweet had been transmitted through something other than TweetDeck that night, it might have gone a long way to exonerate Weiner.

... “Here’s the thing that solves it all,” said McCroskey, “for him to call for a criminal investigation. All they have to do is look at his TweetDeck and see if it came from there, see what IP address [it had]. The local police department or Capitol Police could probably figure this out in 15 minutes.”

Indeed.

Which is why he'll never voluntarily request an investigation.
